If you have any idea where he's from, dob , where he might of lived after he lost touch w/you etc.. maybe you can try zabasearch.com. If he's passed away and ever collected social security benefits, you can also look up on the Social Security Death Index.

Though with a name like Gordon, not being at all unusual, it will be a little difficult.
