Question:who lived in Davidson, NC. He probably died sometime between 1933-1942. I know he had a son from his first marriage and I think three daughters from his second marriage.

Here are the number of Sam* Johnston entries in the census images I subscribe to. "*" means a wild card; Sam, Saml, Samuel or Samantha, for that matter

Davidson is in Mecklenburg county. If you really want ancestors, (mother and father, grandmother and grandfather, etc) I'll look again, but you'll need to send me a birth year. If you want descendants (children) I'll look again, but I'll need a spouse's name, and a birth year would not hurt.

I'd be willing to bet large sums at long odds that your Samuel got recorded as "Johnson" at least once, despite a lifetime of telling people "With a T". With such a common name, finding the right one is going to be tough.

His ancestors are probably dead to, most likely died before he did. I dont think any of them will answer here.
