Do you know any green, greene or boyds in north carolina?

Question:have family under the two names in the counties of halifax and northampton, nc surounding areas.

As i go through my search i will post and have information posted.

This is named from my great grandparents who died before their children really got to know them and was sent to other family members to raise.

It appears, based on matching names (assuming this is an african american family as well) that Jarvis was actually born about 1905 instead of about 1911.

In the 1910 census District 81, Oconeechee, Northhampton, North Carolina there is the following family (race of all is black)...

Additional information from the actual census page...

The resided on a farm identified as "home farm".

All children (and wife Edith) born in North Carolina. Both of Edith's parents born in North Carolina. Both of Robert's parents born in Virginia as was Robert.

Note that none knew how to read and write so the spelling of children's names could vary...for example, Clavland could be Cleveland, Uless could be Ulysses, etc.

I can't find Richard in the 1870; there are too many.

I can't find Syrine in any census with last name Boyd.

where were u from or where did they reside

My Greene line is from the area of Allegheney County, NC and Grayson County, Virginia, and maybe some surrounding counties around those. I do not recognize the names you listed as being a part of my line any where, but they could be distantly related.
