As i go through my search i will post and have information posted. In the 1910 census District 81, Oconeechee, Northhampton, North Carolina there is the following family (race of all is black)... Name: Jarvis L Green Age in 1910: 5 Estimated birth year: abt 1905 Birthplace: North Carolina Relation to Head of House: Son Father's name: Richard Father's Birth Place: Virginia Mother's name: Edith Mother's Birth Place: North Carolina Home in 1910: Oconeechee, Northampton, North Carolina Marital Status: Single Race: Black Gender: Male Household Members: Name Age Richard Green 47 Edith Green 46 Clavland Green 21 Uless Green 16 Carnealows Green 14 Jerry Green 13 Rufus Green 11 Lillian Green 8 Edward L Green 7 Jarvis L Green 5 Additional information from the actual census page... The resided on a farm identified as "home farm". All children (and wife Edith) born in North Carolina. Both of Edith's parents born in North Carolina. Both of Robert's parents born in Virginia as was Robert. Note that none knew how to read and write so the spelling of children's names could vary...for example, Clavland could be Cleveland, Uless could be Ulysses, etc. Hope this helps. I do not recognize the names you listed as being a part of my line any where, but they could be distantly related. |
