Question:The 1911 UK census wont be available to the public until 2012, the actual date for the release is 2nd January. ( January 1st is a Bank holiday ) the 100 years is counted after the 31st December 1911.

You Need to search on line and find Genealogy of UK, and ask them.

No can do! The 1911 UK Census will not be released to the public until 2011! You unfortunately have to wait 4 more years to do that.

Every census contains personal information, which many people would not want "published". The standard has always been that this is a govt. record, not open to others.
However, researchers know the value of that info. So, the US allows access after 72 yrs on the assumption that most persons in it will be now dead (they aren't); in England, the time frame is set at 100 yrs. Just how it is.
MOST of the *recent* information will be in the early part of your research, and needs to come from other sources. Yes, that can be a challenge at times. Once you get further back, it becomes far less relevant. The records you need will be more open.
