Need to know where Tipshul, Derby is. was recorded on a birth cert in about 1873

Question:I have my great grandad, Charles Keating as being born in Derby, Tipshul. About 1874 this would've been but can't find this place anywhere. Can anybody help me please.

I have had a look on the census for all areas beginning with 'T' to try find Tipsul, as you can see Tibshelf wasn't on the 1871 census, but it was on the 1881 census.

i have a house in a small village in derbyshire called tibshelf, have driven all around the small villages and havent seen one with that name.
will ask around and post here if anybody knows :-)

There is a Tibshelf in Derbyshire (spelling mistakes were often made by officials recording births etc in the C19th) try that and see if can help you.

i've never heard of tipshul.. i know of tibshelf which i suppose it could have been.

i live pretty close to tibshelf.
