Question:ok well i love the way thst its difficault and interesting lastnames and we3ll i have my last name they always acuse me of being mexican beacuse of my last name and i searched last names and came across to "Xanthis" but i rerote it like this "xanitis"
but dose any one thats greek tell me if thats ok for a male to have that lastname or what it means thanx!

to the person above me ( Carolyn ) xanitis is pronounounced xan-nee-tees not xan-nie-tus so it wont get confused with disesases

You may want to reconsider the ending. Words ending in "itus" usually connote a disease, especially an inflamation. I'll paste a link that lists dozens and dozens of these. I don't think you will want a name that ends in "itus" after glancing at that.
