Position:Home>Genealogy> Where Harrisburg & Steelton PA furniture store 1890-1920s?

Question:One of my ancestors, Alexander Hamilton Shrenk owned a store (furniture & auction) sometime 1890-1920s at 325 Broad & 406 Forster in Harrisburg PA and
325 Broad 1906 N 6th in Harrisburg PA and also a furniture store at 181 S Front Hbg Steelton PA about 1890.
I think he owned the store until sometime in the 1930s but I do not know if it was sold when he died.
He also had a relative who owned The Ensminger furniture store was at 100-104 S. 2nd in Harrisburg. Where are the building located today and are there any postcard pictures of them? Thanks!

Have you tried contacting the local archives library for that area. This is where all the trade and industry records are kept for this period in time. A certain amount of time has to lapse before they are archived though, not sure how many years.
Hope this helps.
