Anybody know who lived at 111 Oliver Avenue in Trenton, NJ in 1970?

Question:Boykin was the last name. I don't think it was the parents who raised me.....Anybody have lots of family in the area and might know some history? I live 2200 miles away so can't get there right now....Thanks!

If the residence is still there, you might want to try writing a letter to the current owners. They could guide you to the owners of the '70's if they know that information.

If they don't, they will probably direct you to the county tax commissioner's office where you can either 1) get a trace of the address done for a fee (you'll have to call them to find out) or 2) they might be good enough to research that for you at the tax office.

The county tax assessor's office in the state and county I live in has a boatload of information on properties so I'm sure the one in NJ has the same. Contact them to find out for sure.

Another route would be to write to the library in Trenton, sending a small donation and a SASE. They will probably have old city directories, which have a reverse index section. Those will tell you who was at 111, 112, 117, 118 . . . (assuming the go up by 6) in 1970. Ask for 1969 - 1971, as they sometimes skip a year.
