When you do your searches, it might be advisable to widen your net to ask for "Dyfed" instead of just Carmarthen since she may have moved.
You could try "Friends Reunited" where people can e-mail you on the site without publishing her details on a board for the whole World to see.

here is no-one of that name listed in the telephone directory for for Carmarthen town, the family may live in an outlying area.
You could try 192.com or other sites such as friends reunited.
Carmarthen could be listed as in Dyfed or Carmarthenshire as there was a change some years ago.
