Cant find obituary??? please help!!!?

Question:i am trying to find my great grandmothers obituary her name is betty m christian and it was printed october 19th 1991 in the cleveland plain dealer page 9 section d i am hoping that their is some way to view it on the net but i cant seem to find it i contacted the paper but i had no luck if anyone has any info please please please help it is verry important me that i view it thank you so much in advance

My library has a subscription to NewsBank which has the Cleveland Plain Dealer indexed from August 1991 to present. I'm not finding an obituary or any articles in which the name Betty Christian appears.

Did you mean 1891? If so, ask at your local library if they can get a copy of the newspaper from 1891 on microfilm via interlibrary loan.

If you live in Cleveland got to the public library and search the arcives for the paper. Or you can search online for it on the papers website. I've found those to be the best ways to find things like that. Your best bet is probably the library tho. They keep the papers on file.

The newspaper won't help you, but the nearest main library will, especially if you have the exact date. They can take a copy for you from the microfilm (or you could visit in person and do it yourself). It costs about 50p to get a copy. Ask nicely and plead poverty if you don't live locally and they'll usually do it in the post for you.

Try going to google news then search, then go into the archive section and search, with a bit of luck you may just hit gold.
