Question:Can you find any information on John H. Moody's wife, Martha, who was born about 1834 in South Carolina? Also can you find any information about his mother, (Catrina?), born about 1812, who married Richard Moody (born around 1800)? You answered one of my previous questions, but somehow the question got deleted?

According to the 1880 census it say's this Martha was born in 1837, is that the same birth year you have for her, do you have a death year for John and a location of his death please. I think I may have Martha's maiden name, just need to check again to be sure.

I have searched every where I can think of to find Martha's maiden name, I did think that I had found her, but the dates don't match, this ladies surname was Shooter, and they married in 1852 I think also her John had the initial W, as a middle name. I had no luck with that search at all. So I have been searching for their oldest daughters marriage/death information, if I can find Cornelia's death details that will more than likely give her mums maiden name. I will also search their oldest son's information out if I can he has an unusual name to say the least Milliday, like wise with his death details Martha's maiden name should be on there. I wont give up searching until I searched every resource available to me.
