Blair left for Mexico to have her baby, but Todd followed her. Alone in a house in Mexico, Todd delivered Blair's baby. Believing it was Max's and having fallen back in love with Blair, Todd paid David Vickers to give the baby away. He told Blair the baby had died.

Todd and Blair grew closer and Blair finally confessed that the baby she lost (or so she thought) was really Todd's. Shocked, Todd scrambled to get the baby back. He found his son living with a wealthy couple in Texas. After getting the baby, Todd presented it to Blair as an abandoned child, and told her he wanted to be a family with her. In love with both Todd and the baby, Blair accepted and the two married. They named their son Jack and Todd scrambled to make it appear as if adopting Jack would be legitimate.
