Edward A. Osher a.k.a. Elias Osherenko?

Edward A. Osher a.k.a. Elias Osherenko?

I've recently learned of stronger evidence that his name was Osherenko as opposed to Osherenkoff, but the new form is still somewhat dubious. Does anyone have any information that might shed some light on his origin, or correct the information I have? His parents names were Morris and Reva.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It sounds as though he could have been a Russian Jewish immigrant, particularly with parents' names of Maurice and Reva (Riva?)
If so, did you know that there is a Jewish Historical Society who may be able to assist ?
Also one of the other 15 people called Osher on the Electoral Roll may have more info.
