"Tang", "Teng", "Ting", "Tong" and "Tung" are all Chinese family names. I have never heard of a two-syllable Chinese name, so my guess would be either no, it isn't, or if it was, it has been distorted over the years. Just about every race, tribe, nation and ethnic group that could build a boat has passed through the Philippines at one time or another. They have a remarkably varied heritage. |
