Question:

Looking for an ancestor's tombstone?

Would I ever locate the exact place where my great-grand-father is buried somewhere in Cardiff, Wales? He was a sailor and died of the flu around the 1910s or 1920s so he never made it home. Is this a crazy idea of mine?

Absolutely nobody in my family knows. Have a look at these addresses that I have found for you, these are all Cardiff cemeteries, at least I think I found them all from the list, you need only the addresses with the postcode that begins CF the others are surplus to your requirements, but you never know you just might need them.

If you would like to email me with your grandads name, or edit your question I can phone the listed cemeteries for you, my phones calls dont cost anything within the UK. I can also search the BMD indices as well, I would like to help if I can.

The burial place has never been included on any UK death certificate 1837-2007. Its a case of either phoning the cemeteries or calling in person. well maybe your parents know got that bird flu that killed 21 million in europe, hard to say if he didnt end up in a mass grave or even burned because of that flu.

good luck your gonna need it.
