Origin of surname 'Raheb'?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I can't find the origin. All of the Rahebs in the USA in 1930 - all 36 them - were born in "Syria Arab Republic" or in the US to parents born there. Given the shifting politics and population of that area, I'd say "Middle Eastern" is as close as you are going to get to an exact area.
