Any one doing genealogy on the Cunningham's?

I am looking to find info on George Cunningham born about 1833 in Pendleton Co. Virginia, he married Rebecca Flenner in Gilmer Co. Can't find anything on him before he married Rebecca.

George was suppose to have served in the Civil War, but never returned. After his death Rebecca married Hiram Allen in 1870.
