I would like to know how to obtain the maiden name of my great great grandmother?

i am tracing my family tree and i found out who my great grandfather was and who he married but i have no idea what her maiden name was or how to obtain that.

Poetrygirl is right! the best place to get a Marriage certificate is the local town/city. You can also get one from the State, which will be much more expensive. See the vital records site below.

If you have her obituary or death certificate that should also give her maiden name. You can get the death certificate from the same viatal record site. The obit, you can get from the library that saves copies of the paper in the town or city where she died.

If you are not in the US, search Yahoo for "VITAL RECORDS <your location>" .
