Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Although the name Shand is Scottish, it doesn't seem to be associated with any clan. This is perhaps because it comes from north-east Scotland where the clan system wasn't as strong as elsewhere.

The link below says it is associated with the name McShane, but again this is not a clan, or a sept of a clan.
