I just found out that my great, great, great grandfather was the brother of President Jimmy Carter's great, great, great grandfather. How do I confirm this? How do I get more information?

On the Carter side, Jimmy's ggg father was James Carter,
son of Kindred Carter 9(b. about 1750).
