Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Honestly, the only true way to know is to start from yourself and work backwards one generation at a time. There really is no shortcut. You just can't "Google" your genealogy. Just because you possess a name shared with monarchs doesn't guarantee you a place in the monarchy. Don't let that discourage you though. Genealogy is such a fun hobby and worth every minute you spend on it. There is a joke in the genealogy community that says that if you want your genealogy done for free, to run for public office!!
