How can i get birth announcements from a newspaper in another state.?

i am doing my family tree and figured i would get started by viewing my grandmothers birth announcement in a newspaper. she lived in loudon TN in either alcoa, greenback or something like that. did they put announcemnets in papers in 1933? and how could i retrieve it froma newspaper from TN i live in alabama?

If you mean Sallie/Sally/Solly Kirby/Kerby who married Urcel Covington, she was probably born in Servier or Blount Counties.

By dint of using some of the hints on my web page about Googling your ancestors and trying different combinations in the census search engines, I found your Sally. She was a Covington, but hiding out under "Sallie" in 1930, in a different county. The index I use does not have soundex on first names, just surnames. That is why I could not find her in the first two hours I spent looking. She was "Solly Kerby" in 1920, and not in Loudon County. She wasn't born soon enough to be on the 1910.

Here is what I found. The data without links is from my subscription to census images. The data with the links is cut from those web pages. You can contact the people behind those pages, maybe. Some sites have Mail links, some don't. The RWWC ones all do.

If you can't follow what I did, write. In your message, cut and paste the confusing part to remind me, then type your question. I will probably not remember all of this for more than a couple of hours; less, if I have beer for lunch.
