Does anyone know anyone with the last name Passell?this is mine but l can't find any info on where it comes from,l'm from Scotland and my family are the only people in UK with this surname.My grandfather was Parisian but this is as far as we can trace it,l'm just curious!!! anyone got one as unusual as me?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I have a Mary Passel in my genealogy. I have not been able to trace her ancestry yet, but I have found several Passels on immigration lists (arriving in USA) originating from Bremen, Germany about the time that I think her family immigrated here. I just ran the Passell spelling through the Ancestry.com immigration lists and I saw them coming from Scotland, Ireland, and Germany, so there must have been more in the UK at one time. You can search further on Ancestry.com. Through Nov 30, they are running a special where their immigration collection is free to search. As far as I know, it only has immigration records for the US and Canada, but you might find some ancester in there.
