Noble Ancestors?

Question:

Royal/Noble Ancestors?

I was reseraching genealogy, and apparently many, many, many of my ancestors were European "princesses", "dukes, "duchesses", etc. in their time (think pre year 1000)...

Before I get too excited, Is this a rare occurrence (aka a truly unique lineage) or very common for everybody?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: well i don't know if that is common or not, but my geneology has royalty. actually my family came before the windsors as royalty in great britian....my aunt even sang at fergie's wedding...so i'm in the royalty boat with you.....
