I was born in South Africa and would like to know the origin of my surname....

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: No, not me. But I know it is quite common surname in The Netherlands (n where I am from) and Belgium ( the Flemish part). It is obviously a Dutchyfied version of Oliver.
