Are some blue eyed genes more dominant than others?

ive noticed in my husbands family, the past three generations have the same color eyes...
does that mean that this is a strong family gene (even though its recessive) and it is easier to be passed down?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: it's the same with my family. my father had hazel eyes, we all had blue. my wife has dark brown eyes, but our children are all blue eyed. my mother's family came from the wilds of the west of ireland so it could be generations of inbreeding, ('scuse me while i wipe the drool).
