Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I can't tell you anything about living relatives, but this is what I discovered:

Your great grandparents were married in about 1896-1897 and had three children in Scotland: Annie (born 1897-1898), Agnes (born 1899-1900), and Robert (born (1902-1903). They immigrated to America in 1905 and became citizens between 1920-1930.

In 1910, they lived in Bracerville Township, Grundy Co., Illinois. In 1920, they lived at 709 McCrea Ave., Donora Borough, Washington Co., Pennsylvania. In 1930, they lived at 219 Allen Ave., Donora Borough, Washington Co., Pennsylvania.

They had the following children in America: Christina (born 1905-1906 in Ohio), James (born 1908-1909 in Pennsylvania), Jean (born 1910-1911 in Illinois), Elizabeth (born 1914-1915 in Pennsylvania), Emily (born 1914-1915 in Pennsylvania), Margaret (born 1919-1920 in Pennsylvania).

In 1910, Robert was a miner in a coal mine. In 1920, he was a boilermaker in a steel works. In 1930, he was a steel worker in a wire mill.

The Social Security Death Index shows that a James Laughland was born on 03 July 1908 and died on 29 May 1992. His Social Security Number was 192-01-1106. He might have been Robert and Christina's son.
