Any info on a John Hayter living in Brook on the Isle of wight around the 1800?

He was awarded a gold watch from the Emperor of Germany at the time for his part in a sea rescue off the island whilst working for the RNLI. The watchs where abouts is a mystery to family and the RNLI so any info would be good. Have all family history records already on this person.
