Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Some US Gen Web pages for some counties have some birth data. If you go to the county clerk in person they will sometmes let you look but not copy, for free. If you know where and when your parents were born you should be able to find their birth announcements in the newspaper. You'll have to read the microfilm at the library for that, but it is free.
