I'm looking for Australian WW2 vet that is well known for his books on ships. I only have his surname Villiard

All I have to research is his last name Villiard. The spelling is not known for sure, but he served as Commander for Landing Craft Infintry in WW II and would probably be in his 80's, he lives in Australia and has written books about ships. My father who served with him is desperate to find him. Please if any retired vets or people of Australia have heard of him let me know.
