Question:

In search of biological father?

I am in search for my biological father, his name is Gerald Carter ( info i have on him he was in military, and a black belt) and lived in the Richmond Va area. His grandmother resided in Blackwell Court back in the late 60's early 70's. He never knew my mother was pregnant with me(my grandmother chased him away) he went away to the military before my mom could tell him about me that was 35 years ago. Any suggestions anyone! Thanks for the help.
P. S. I have written letters, called the church, checked with military, etc. I am at my ropes end of giving up.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: If you have the money, you may want to consider hiring a private detective. They know ways to find people that most of us do not have access to.

I tried to find my own father by the same methods that you mentioned, and none of them worked. However, it was too late by the time I considered hiring a PD.

Anyway, good luck to you. I am definitely of the conclusion that if it is meant to be, you will find him. If you do not find him, there is a good reason for it. Maybe you would not get the reception you hoped for. It's easy to have high hopes of a grand reunion ( I know I had them too), but try not to get caught up with that as you don't know much about this man and his current state of mind. he may never have wanted a child. That is worst case scenario, but I guess from experience, I would ask you to consider all of the possible outcomes.

I wish you the best.
