Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Tribes award "Citizenship" in the Family - not a #. You might begin here, to determine WHICH Tribe you want to apply to. http://www.healing-arts.org/tribelinks.h... There are many Tribes. Some Federally recognized, some State recognized, some not officially recognized. Each one has it's own requirements. I think the Eastern Tribe of Cherokee is closed to applications, except in a few circumstances. But, I was able to obtain Cherokee Citizenship, for my Dad, in a smaller Tribe. Best to you. |
