Does any one know whenor where you can get a copy of a deceased will?

i just wondered the lenght of time before anyone can see a will of a member of family that has just deceased

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: There is no length of time. If you think a will exists and been probated, then you make a postal application to the Probate Office in York and pay your ⣵ like everybody else and in about six weeks time, the will, if it can be found, is sent to you. This might not work for really really recent wills within the last 12 months or so, but should work fine from about 2004 back to 1858. There's an online application form on the internet somewhere, but I can'f find it right now. Just google 'York Probate Office' or something and it should come up.
