What website do i look at/search for to find out what a building was previously? - or wot was there b4?

my brother is having ghostly sightings at his house - was only built in the late 1970's, would like to know what/who was previously there - apparently its a child he's seen - how do i find out if there were ever any deaths there?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: you might start by looking it up in your city archives. f they are not online , then go to the site where they are held. from there you can find out the progression of owners and with names in hand then search newspaper articles at your library (probably on microfiche). not everything can be done by computer in such matters. most cities are not so up to date and you may have to do research in the old books which in itself is quite interesting.
