my great grandma was Placida Jacinto.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: www.rootsweb.com does have a section of mail lists, and I am sure one is based on research in the Phillipines. (hey, I googled and found who he was). It would be good to join that list, and see who can help with available resources. I normally am familiar with US resources.
By the way, the article did mention names of his parents.
