Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Scant records of LANDSINGER that I have found at http://www.familysearch.org show the earliest recorded LANDSINGER's originating in Bohemia or what is now known as Czechoslovakia, specifically Cerhovice, Horovice, Czechoslovakia.

"Cerhovice (Horovice) lies between Prague and Pilsen at the highway D5. The highway junction is 1 km away form the Cerhovice square. Cerhovice is 14 753 ha large. It is divided into two parts – Cerhovice and T噥nice and it has about 1 000 inliditants. The first unit ten mat ice comes form 1275. Cerhovice Delong??s to „Cerhovicko?? region"

Sigismund Landsinger (1855-?) German painter and engraver, studied at the Academy in Vienna and Florence. Established himself in Munich painting mythological and genre paintings. His work can be found at the Munich City Hall and at Budapest's Gallery of History.
