Question:

Does any one know how to find out about relatives of Josiah Henson, the underground railroad guy?

My family is from the essex county area and my my daughters are doing a project for black history month. Apparently we are distantly related to him and would like more info if any. The last names are harding, mulloch, or henderson.

This link is for a full text story of his life-

(I love it when you can get a whole book online).
As for being related, I did a fast check on rootsweb family files (using those dates of birth/death) and didn't find a family tree. Sorry. Maybe the names will show up in the book, to support your tradition.
To prove a relationship, you need to have not only the specifics of his family, but also specifics of your own.
And of course, I am always encouraging people here to pick up a beginner's tutorial from www.cyndislist.com.
