I went to Ancestry.com and found a few things. First of all there was a Mike Markovcy in the World War 2 draft cards who was from Carbon Pennsylvania who listed his birthplace as Loza, Hungary. Second, I went to the 1930 census and there was indeed a Markovcy family in Carbon County, Pennsylvania and the head of the family listed his birthplace as Czechoslovakia. Both he and his wife spoke Russian. One son was born in New Jersey and the other in Pennsylvania. There is a tree online with John Markovcy in it. He was married to Genevieve Michalik.
