Last name Origin?

Question:

Last name Origin?

Anyone know what the origins of the last names Mbika and Kapanga are?

I looked them up and what I found was strange, someone during the 1900s had the last name Mbika and that person was Greek. The person who had Kapanga was Middle Eastern.

In the beggining I thought these names were African. Anyone know?

while Kapanga also seems to be Congolese (African in origin).

I do not think your first thoughts were wrong. We know that in history as well as today people migrated. It takes little imagination to consider that Africans traveled to Greece and the Middle East.
