Question:

I have an unusual surname. I am trying trace my family history and I can not find it on the internet....?

anyone have any advice or help! I don't understand it my family has been in the United States longer than any of them can remember so why is this so hard!?!?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I've got a bunch of records coming up from far and wide on an alternate spelling of BRANDEBERRY. They emigrated from Hawaii, Cuba, Guam, Algeria, Tunisia, Germany (Thuringer and Bavaria), England, Bermuda, and Norway.

I found (5) in the Ohio census of 1810 living in Columbiana Co.

(1) Showed up in Kansas by 1895 and within 20 years had (8) family members

(49) lived in the US in 1860 who showed up in the federal census. (29) of those were in Indiana, (4) were in Maryland, (16) in Ohio

(19) registered for the WWI draft, (17) white, (2) black
(13) served in the Civil War (all from the state of Indiana)

(173) Brandyberries were married in the State of Indiana between 1800-1941(most from Adams, Jay and Noble counties)

If you have specific people you'd like info on, just let us know their names, where they lived and approx year of birth or death.
