How far back have you traced your ancestory to?

Just looking for a year, using web sites and family/government records I have traced ancestors back to 1100 AD. Just wondering how far back anyone is able to go.

I have confirmed the ancestory back to the 1500's, to the parents of Robert Cushman, the other 400 years I have names and dates of births and deaths but I need to confirm the data with further records.
