Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Unfortunately, many records of Coronor's Inquests have been destroyed, but some do remain. Try the N Yorks County Record Office whhich also holds records for W Yorks. They may take written requests for info if you are unable to visit (see their website). Local newspapers often give detailed reports of Inquests - especially if the person died in a major mining accident. The library in Batley will hold these, or be able to tell you where they are kept. |
