Another came to the US in 1945 from Enechendorf, Austria.

BL Lingl came to the US in 1822 from Italy (probably in the NE corner near the border with Austria)

More than a dozen came to the US from Germany.

Several came to the US from Sweden.

Some coming in the 1870s and 80s list their homes as Croatia and St㿲ia.

If you trace your individual ancestors you'll get a better idea of where they left to come here. It's not cut and dry. The fact that there are several here from before the US kept passenger records (the Anabaptists from Pennsylvania) and there were immigrants coming to the US as late as the 1950s with that name makes it hard to pinpoint where your own family originated. The range of possibilities is just too huge.
