where did it come from? origins? i am wondering if this last name is Turkish, because the people who have this last name are related to the Tarkhans?
also this last name is not Italian

Swyrich.com says Italy, they want to sell you a Coat of Arms, don't buy that.

The Family Search site by LDS agrees that Italy is the origin, but there are other places to consider. There are South American entries, Mexico, many USA, and other places.
