Finding Jimenez Father?

My husband never knew his father. When his mother found out she was pregnant, she up and left. About 3 or 4 years ago, my husband and his stepfather were having a discussion, and my husband was told that his biological father used to write him letters. But, his mother threw them all away. Now that we're starting to look for him, she won't give us a lot of information.

Where would be the best place to start? I've been on some genealogy boards posting questions but, to no avail. If anyone could help with anything, it would be great.

This is the only information that was given to us by his mother:

Francisco Javier Jimenez
Born in August of 1963, 1964 or 1965
He lived in the Fontana-Montclair area in the early 80s.
Worked at a furniture store at the time.
Originally from Mexico.
Married to a woman named Antonia, she had a son named Javier in 1984, the same name and year my husband was born. They're very close in age.

He seems to fit the profile with birth year, middle initial, and the county he is in. The entry has a phone number. You might want to give it a try. I found a birth record for a Javier Jimenez in San Bernardino County born October 5, 1984. It has the mothers maiden name attached, but for security reasons I'll leave it off this post.
