Information about a dead person?

This is all I know about him.
Rick Garey
January 23, 1961- July 5, 1978
He was 17 when he died. There is a monument for him in El Camino Fundamental High School. No known relatives. No one has worked at the school long enough to know what happened. How do I find what happened to him?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Check the local newspapers for the day after he died. The local library should have an archive. The librarian could probably find it for you in 10 minutes or less.
