Trying to find information on an Arthur White born 1897 in Queensland Australia?

He changed his name to Walter Henry Rees in the event of going to WW1. Not sure if this is true. His name could also have been Walter Henry White.

Name not Arthur White, found out his name was Harry Dowce? or Dowct? and he was from Queensland and came to Perth we think as Walter Henry Rees born 13th Sept 1892 and his wifes name was Mary and she was born 1908
He enlisted in the army ( WW2) between 1939 and 1948. He died 1/1/70 and was buried 8/1/70.
