I need help. Im 13 and i want to make a story!!!?

You know how say if you are hispanic you know where you come from Chile, Mexico,Or Brazil.If you white you know where you come from England, Sweden, or Norway.Those were examples. Well my story is about this girl for her 16th birthday she wants to figure out what part of africa her ancestors came from. But thats all i know so can you help me ?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Ok, go sit somewhere where there are a LOT of people. A cafe, or a park bench, or a mall. Then listen. It takes a while but listen to the snippets of conversation you hear as people walk past.

I'm actually thinking of creating a story based purely around people I see around me.

Also, live your story. I once wrote a 400 page sci-fi novel. I took inspiration from everywhere. The different looking people at college became the different species populating my universe. The birds in the skies became dogfights amongst ships. Modern day technology was taken to the nth degree, and became the technology in my story.

You're 13. It's a great age to start writing. Your mind is so fresh, so full of ideas and imagination. Don't lose it.
