Question:

Is the mutation in cri du chat dominant or recessive?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: In most children with Cri du Chat (80-85 per cent), the disorder is caused by a new mutation, meaning that the deletion in chromosome 5 has not been inherited and is not present in the affected individual's family.

However, the other 15-20 percent can be inherited and are recessive.
