Information on a Spanish Last Name?

I'd like to find out more information about my family, and I have my mother's side, but I'd like to know what ancestors I had in Spain with my last name, Iraola.

How do I go about doing this? Please note that my family is from Cuba and ultimately my ancestors are from Spain, but a few generations on the island.
